According to the annual list published by the U.K’s Sunday Times newspaper, Macca’s wealth has climbed by £20 million to £820 million.

This makes him No 1 on the Wealth Chart for musicians, well ahead of those at No 2 and No 3;

U2 at £620 million and Andrew Lloyd-Webber at £525 million.

59 years after their first U.K. release the popularity of The Beatles music shows no signs of diminishing and this of course helped make McCartney the only musician on the full list of Britain’s 250 richest people. Although the pandemic has severely hit the touring revenue of many current stars, the legends of pop have seen their incomes boosted by downloads and streaming over this difficult time.

Of course it is not just about The Beatles, McCartney has enjoyed huge solo success.

His most recent album McCartney lll debuted at number No1 in the U.K. and No 2 in the U.S.A. just before Christmas.
