Memento Mori is Depeche Mode’s 15th studio album and the first since the passing of Andy Fletcher.
Although it was written before the keyboardist’s passing – Dave Gahan and Martin Gore described their bandmate as their rock – it’s impossible not to think of Fletch when listening to songs about life and death.
After 40 years together the future of the band as a duo might seem questionable, but after listening to this album we think they are as solid as their rock would have wanted.
You can hear exactly what we mean as we are playing two tracks from Memento Mori every hour, right here.
