CELEBRATING AEROSMITH’S 1970 DEBUT

The best-selling American rock band of all time played their first ever gig on November 6th, 1970.

Aerosmith performed their first ever gig when they played at Nipmuc Regional High School in Mendon, Massachusetts.

The classic line-up consists of Steven Tyler (lead vocals), Joe Perry (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass), Joey Kramer (drums) and Brad Whitford (guitar).

Tyler and Perry form the primary song-writing team and their efforts were recognised when they were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013, the band having been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 .

Sometimes referred to as “The Bad Boys from Boston”, Aerosmith became the best-selling American rock band of all time, having sold more than 150 million albums worldwide.

They also hold the record for the most gold and multi-platinum albums by an American group – 25 gold, 18 platinum and 12 multi-platinum.
