Stockport’s finest are back with their latest album Gary.
With a single by the same name, this is the hard-to-believe but true story of a giant fibrelass gorilla called Gary that was stolen from a garden centre in Scotland.
Gary is the band’s fifth album and comes out at the end of a summer during which they have been the darlings of the UK festival circuit.
Two other singles, What Can I Say After I’m Sorry and Perfect Me, prefaced the album’s release and, if you’re new to Blossoms and their music, we recommend checking out the brilliant and often very funny videos that accompany the singles.
Formed in 2013 and with all band members from their hometown of Stockport in the Greater Manchester area of north-west England, Blossoms have come a long way. With nominations for the Mercury Music Prize and the Brit Awards under their collective belts the band, led by songwriter Tom Ogden, are now well established as purveyors of indie rock and pop of the highest calibre.
